Artist Statement

At the core of my artistic practice is a commitment to feminist, decolonial, and antispeciesist ethics, which shape my narratives and visual representations. My work focuses on colonized bodies—human and non-human—historically defined by systems of domination and exploitation, seeking to subvert these frameworks while opening spaces for re-appropriation, re-affirmation, resistance, and transformation. My current exploration centers on the entangled connections and interdependence between human and non-human life in ecological terms. Working across mixed media and storytelling—often combining live action with illustration and animation—allows me to create fantastical, alternative worlds: subversive yet visionary spaces that question dominant capitalist and power structures while proposing new modes of coexistence, resistance, and mutual care.
